These Terms of Use apply to goldstardoc.com and its patient feedback pages. Please read them before using the website or submitting feedback.

1. About Gold Star Doc

Gold Star Doc is a patient feedback service currently operated by an individual founder in Dubai pending licensing.

In these terms, “Gold Star Doc”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of the service.

Patients can scan a QR code at a clinic to reach a short feedback page for a doctor. Feedback submitted through Gold Star Doc is made available privately to the relevant doctor. Patients may also choose to follow a link to Google’s separate public review page.

These terms apply only to:

• goldstardoc.com;
• Gold Star Doc patient feedback pages; and
• patient use of those pages.

They do not govern doctor subscriptions, doctor dashboards or other commercial services, or arrangements with clinics. Those matters will be governed by separate terms.

2. Important medical and safety notice

Gold Star Doc is not a healthcare provider.

The feedback form is not:

• a medical communication channel;
• an appointment or consultation service;
• a formal complaint-handling channel; or
• an emergency service.

The form is not monitored for clinical content. Submitting feedback does not notify a doctor or clinic that you have a medical concern and does not guarantee that your feedback will be read within any particular time.

If you have a medical concern, contact the clinic or an appropriate healthcare professional directly.

3. Agreement to these terms

By accessing the website or submitting feedback, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit feedback.

If you submit feedback for or with the assistance of another person, you must have appropriate authority to do so and must ensure that the feedback remains accurate and complies with these terms.

4. Providing feedback

Feedback must:

• relate to your own genuine visit to the relevant doctor;
• reflect your honest experience;
• be submitted in good faith; and
• comply with applicable law and these terms.

Please do not include names, contact details, medical information or other information that could identify you or another person in a comment. Gold Star Doc is designed to collect anonymous feedback, not medical records or identifying information.

You must not submit content that:

• is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, privacy-invasive or otherwise harmful;
• infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
• impersonates another person or makes a false or misleading claim about your identity, visit or experience;
• contains another person’s personal or confidential information without proper authority;
• is generated or submitted through automated, scripted or bulk methods;
• duplicates, manipulates or fraudulently influences feedback or results; or
• contains malware, malicious code or links intended to cause harm.

You must not:

• interfere with the website, its operation or its security;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or other users’ information;
• probe, test or bypass security or rate-limiting measures; or
• use the website for an unlawful, fraudulent or commercial purpose not authorised by us.

5. Moderation and removal

Gold Star Doc may, but has no general obligation to, review submitted feedback.

We may review, redact, restrict, reject or remove feedback where we reasonably believe that it:

• breaches these terms;
• contains medical details or identifying information;
• creates a legal, privacy, safety or security concern;
• infringes another person’s rights;
• appears automated, manipulated or fraudulent; or
• could harm the service, a doctor, a clinic, a patient or another person.

This does not mean that we actively monitor every submission or guarantee that unsuitable content will be identified or removed.

6. Blocking and rate-limiting

We may restrict or block access to the website, reject submissions or apply rate-limiting where reasonably necessary to:

• prevent abuse, duplicate submissions or fraudulent activity;
• protect the website and its security;
• investigate a suspected breach of these terms; or
• comply with legal requirements.

Where appropriate, these measures may be applied without advance notice.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of information are explained in the Gold Star Doc Privacy Policy.

In particular, the Privacy Policy explains how feedback is handled, who may see it and how Gold Star Doc deals with medical or identifying information accidentally included in a comment.

8. Ownership of the website

The website’s text, design, layout, graphics, software, functionality and the Gold Star Doc name and branding are owned by or licensed to the operator. They may be protected by intellectual property laws.

We give you limited, personal, revocable and non-exclusive permission to use the website for its intended, non-commercial purpose in accordance with these terms.

Except where applicable law does not permit us to restrict an activity, you must not:

• copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the website;
• scrape, extract or systematically collect website content or data;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to obtain the source code of the website; or
• use Gold Star Doc’s name or branding without prior written permission.

9. Your feedback and the licence you give us

You retain any intellectual property rights you may have in feedback that you submit.

By submitting feedback, you grant Gold Star Doc a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

• host and store the feedback;
• reproduce it as necessary to operate the service;
• analyse and summarise it;
• redact or adapt it to remove identifying, medical, unlawful or unsuitable content;
• export it; and
• share it privately with the relevant doctor.

This licence applies worldwide and only to the extent reasonably necessary for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Those purposes include care development and improvement and allowing the doctor to use feedback, in summary or export form, as evidence for professional appraisal or revalidation.

Gold Star Doc will not publish feedback submitted through its feedback form.

You confirm that you are entitled to submit the feedback and grant this licence.

10. Google reviews and other third-party links

Leaving a Google review is entirely optional. If you follow a link to Google and submit a review, you do so directly on Google’s service under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.

Gold Star Doc does not:

• receive, control, endorse or moderate Google reviews;
• decide whether Google publishes or removes a review; or
• control how Google handles your information.

A Google review is separate from private feedback submitted through Gold Star Doc and may be publicly visible or associated with your Google profile according to Google’s practices.

Gold Star Doc tracks only its own outbound clicks to Google and publicly visible review counts, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The website may contain links to Google or other third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, content, security or data practices of third-party websites. A link does not mean that we endorse the third party or its services.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We may modify, replace, suspend or withdraw any part of the website or patient feedback service where reasonably necessary.

We do not guarantee that:

• the website will always be available;
• access will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free;
• every submission will be successfully received or retained; or
• every feature will remain available.

We may need to restrict access for maintenance, security, technical, legal or operational reasons.

12. No guarantee of a particular outcome

The service is provided on an “as available” basis, subject to any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Gold Star Doc does not guarantee that:

• feedback will produce a particular result;
• a doctor or clinic will act on feedback;
• feedback will reach or be reviewed by a doctor within a particular time; or
• use of the service will resolve a concern or complaint.

Nothing on the website is medical advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

13. Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gold Star Doc is not liable for losses arising from:

• use of, or inability to use, the website;
• reliance on the website as a medical, complaint-handling or emergency channel;
• a delay, interruption, error or technical failure;
• content submitted by a patient or another user;
• a doctor’s or clinic’s response, or failure to respond, to feedback; or
• Google or another third-party website or service.

Gold Star Doc does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service, applicable law or our operating practices.

15. General provisions

Severability

If a provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary or, if modification is not possible, removed. The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

No waiver

If Gold Star Doc does not enforce a provision immediately, this does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

Entire agreement

These terms form the entire agreement between you and Gold Star Doc concerning your use of the website and patient feedback pages. They do not apply to doctor subscriptions, dashboards, commercial services or clinic arrangements.

Assignment

Users may not transfer their rights or obligations under these terms without Gold Star Doc’s prior written consent.

16. Governing law and courts

These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by UAE federal law as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction rules that apply, the courts of Dubai will have exclusive jurisdiction.
